Pottery Studio Membership
IMPORANT UPDATE: THE STUDIO WILL BE CLOSING IN FEB 2026.
Five sessions plans can continue to be purchased, but any sessions outstanding beyond our final making date of 9th February will be lost and are not refundable. Finishing sessions outlined below beyond this date for glazing only are drop-in, no passes needed.
Studio membership is for adults with existing pottery skills who need access to a pottery studio without tuition. Come along and spend time making your own hand-built pottery independently in a social and friendly group atmosphere.
Key information:
Maximum of 6 adults per session
Tools are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own
We provide stoneware clay, glazes and firing and the cost of this is charged separately and calculated by weight. Approx. £10-12 per kg (only items made with KW clay at studio sessions can be fired)
The studio is for hand-build pottery only, there is no access to throwing wheels
Occasionally, the studio will be closed for special events, see booking calendar for availability.
Purchase your 5 session pass below. Then use the 'book now' button to select the sessions you would like to attend. Passes are valid for 3 or 5 months respectively from the date of purchase so there is no need to commit to every week.
Bookable Sessions:
Mondays & Thursdays 7pm - 9.30pm - ENDING FEB 9th 2026
Sessions can be booked/amended up until 5pm on the day.
KEY DATES LEADING UP TO CLOSURE
Monday 22nd December - Sunday 4th Jan inclusive: Christmas closure
Thursday 22nd January: Closed
Monday 9th February: Final date for finishing greenware ready for drying - Final session studio.
Monday 16th February: Final bisque firing
Saturday 21st February 10-4pm: Drop-in glazing session, anyone welcome to come without a pass who has items to be glazed, members past and present (it would be helpful if you could email ahead if you are coming so we can plan the studio staffing accordingly)

W/C 2nd March: Collection of finished items - collection times to be confirmed
We will be doing firings before these dates, but these will be the final ones. Please ensure you plan accordingly, any items not complete before this date can be collected as they are, or we will recycle them for you.
